Deleting your Facebook and Instagram data

Last updated:

If you connected a Facebook Page or Instagram account to NeoMind, we hold a small amount of data through that connection. You can have it deleted in any of the three ways below. None of them costs anything.

1. Remove NeoMind from Facebook

  1. On Facebook, open Settings & privacy → Settings.
  2. Open Business integrations, or Apps and websites (Facebook uses either name depending on your account).
  3. Find NeoMind, choose Remove, and confirm.

Facebook tells us automatically. We delete the connection straight away, then delete or anonymise everything else we hold through it, as listed below. Facebook shows you a confirmation code and a link to a page where you can check progress.

2. Disconnect inside NeoMind

If you manage the business’s NeoMind account, go to Settings → Integrations → Facebook & Instagram → Disconnect. This deletes the stored access token and the copy of direct messages stored with the connection immediately, and stops all posting and replies.

Disconnecting does not by itself delete the comments and mentions we already received through the connection, our AI receptionist’s Messenger and Instagram conversation history, or enquiries created from those messages. To have those deleted or anonymised too, use option 1 or email us.

3. Email us

Email privacy@neomeric.com from the address you use with NeoMind, or tell us which Facebook Page you connected. We will confirm when it is done, within 30 days.

What we delete

  • The Facebook Page and Instagram connection you authorised, its access token, and the record of which Facebook login authorised it.
  • Comments, mentions and messages we received through that connection, and replies drafted to them.
  • The stored message history of conversations our AI receptionist had with people over Messenger or Instagram, and anything it remembered about those people.
  • Personal details in bookings made in those conversations, in NeoMind’s own records: name, phone number, email address and booking notes. The booked time stays.

What we anonymise

  • Enquiries (leads) created from Facebook or Instagram messages. We remove the person’s name, contact details and message text, and mark the enquiry “do not contact” so no one follows it up. We keep only the fact that an enquiry came in, so the business’s enquiry count stays right.
  • Tasks and approval cards our AI team made about those comments and messages. We remove the person’s name and words; the task stays in the business’s work history.

What stays

  • Posts already published to your Page or Instagram account. Remove those on Facebook or Instagram.
  • The business’s own drafts and approved posts in its NeoMind account. They belong to the business, not to your personal Facebook login.
  • The number of conversations our AI receptionist had over Messenger and Instagram, which we use for billing. It holds no message content and no personal details.
  • Summaries our AI team already wrote for the business owner (for example weekly reports), which may mention a person’s name.
  • Copies already sent to the business outside NeoMind, such as new-enquiry emails, entries in the business’s own CRM or mailing tools, and events in a calendar the business connected (for example Google Calendar). The business can remove these itself, or email us and we’ll ask it to.
  • The record of your request: its confirmation code, dates, status, the app-specific Facebook ID Meta sent with it, and counts of what we deleted. It holds no message text and no access token.

More detail is in our Privacy Policy.
